The Build

Won €70k from the Italian government to build an automated hydroponic greenhouse. The project is stopped at the feasibility stage (water and municipality restrictions were the open question) and the investment can be pivoted to a new agricultural idea.

So far that has meant talking to the University of Tuscia in Italy to explore a potential partnership, and talking to one of the biggest greenhouse producers in Italy to ask for his advice on what could realistically be built.

What worked

  • Won €70k from the Italian government to build an automated hydroponic greenhouse.
  • People are willing to help out a young, excited entrepreneur if they can. Just reach out: that is how the conversations with the University of Tuscia and with one of the biggest greenhouse producers in Italy happened.

Mistakes Made

In every project I made mistakes. For each one I wrote: what went wrong, why it arose, and what it taught me.

M-01Planning

Started something I did not have the time to finish

Why it arose
The grant was there and the idea was good, so I took it on while Clura and Clurasense were both still running.
What I learned
An opportunity you cannot give real time to is not an opportunity. Spend your time on what really matters, and let the rest go before it becomes a half-built thing you are still carrying.
